20TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY

When I started translating full-time, back in the summer of 1993, we worked in a totally different world. To start with, there was no Internet. Most of my work had to be faxed or posted. I started using the modem more and more as time went by. Those were the days of protocols, passwords... and problems!

Some translation memories were appearing, but they were still in their infancy.

There were no mobile solutions of any shape or form. No cloud backups or computing.

A lot has changed, but I am glad to say that some of my long-term clients haven't!

I still have a few months to think of a fit way to celebrate. Watch this space and let me know if you have a suggestion.
